2017 sees the Tercentenary of the formation of the first ever Freemasons' Grand Lodge 300 years ago. In June 1717 four lodges which had been well established in London decided to come together at the Goose & Gridiron Tavern in St. Paul's Churchyard in the city of London and form the first Grand Lodge in the world. Their will be a number of events celebrating this throughout 2017. The theme for London Freemasonry is that of 'volunteering'. London masons are encouraged to seek out local charities and good causes and get involved by giving up their time to help these worthy causes and not just make financial donations. We will post further news on the big and little events happening throughout 2017.
