Martin Mulhere - Charity Bike Ride

As many of you will know I took part in the London to Brighton off road bike ride on 23 September, raising money for the British Heart Foundation (who organised this event) and the Guys and St Thomas Hospital charity.

This really was an enjoyable event with a very friendly atmosphere throughout, and despite some real gruelling parts to the ride, some hair-raising parts that I wish I'd had a stunt double for, and a broken bike 1 mile from the finish line, our team crossed the line together after 7 long hours in the saddle.

We all had our individual charities that mean something to us that we were raising money for alongside the British Heart Foundation, and with this in mind and the support and sponsorship we had received from so many people made us even more determined finish, but have fun doing it!

We don't have a total team figure of money raised yet, but through your kind and generous donations I raised a total of £1,070 which is far beyond what I expected and will be split equally between BHF and Guys and St Thomas.

So a massive thank you, I'm very grateful for your support.
